Who we are
Our founders: Doctors with lived curly-hair experience.
CurlCompare started from our own frustration: trying product after product, and finding that reviews and ingredient lists rarely told us what we actually needed to know before buying. So we built the site we wished existed: guides checked against real evidence, not marketing copy.
How we know what works
Every claim in a Learn guide is checked against the underlying research before it ships, and marked by how strong that evidence actually is, from well-replicated findings to single small studies to community-reported experience. We'd rather say “the evidence is thin here” than overstate a claim to sound more confident than the science allows. Where clinical research runs out, we cross-check against real-world patterns in CurlCompare's own database of product reviews, a second signal alongside the literature, not a replacement for it.
